Culinary Arts Programme

Sunday night dinners have become special events as the students in the Culinary Arts Programme work hard to plan, prepare and serve delicious meals for all to enjoy. Lead by Camille (Quebec) and Shawn (USA), the two teams of 5 students work alternating Sundays.

With help and support from kitchen staff, the students plan meals with regional themes such as the recent Tuscan Dinner or they plan for something out of the ordinary such as a dessert pizza. The customised omelette bar was a huge hit, but this was one incident where the students learned how daunting it can be to cook for so many. After frantically frying and flipping, they looked up to see they were only on omelette 30. With 70 omelettes waiting to be cooked and more orders coming in fast, the team really had to stepped up to the challenge.

The quality of food on campus has been good and the students feel it is just getting better and better. They appreciate all the support from kitchen staff and they would like to particularly thank Bud who is always there on Sundays to help and give advice.
