The purpose of the project was to bring awareness of Warchild Canada to youth in a rural community. Often at times rural communities are not really aware of many happenings around the world. We thought Warchild would be a good way to represent many of the disasters that are occuring in corrupt countries and to show how many people the same age as them have to grow up with war around them. For the grades 7-9 we relayed facts about war to them and had a powerpoint and described the organization of Warchild Canada. Basically War Child Canada is a non profit organization working across North America and around the worldto assist children affected by war and raise awareness for children's rights everywhere. WCC helps thousands of lives that have been torn by war and works to creating a brighter future... We were approached by many after the presentation who thought it was a great presentation and really felt bad about what was going on.
