METCHOSIN HOUSE by Mohamed Ahmed Eid Youssef (year 32) This project has many variations, one day working with seniors, others with children. Sometimes it's hard work, while working in a garden and sometimes it needs more reflection while trying to communicate an idea either to a senior or to a child. It was an opportunity for me to improve my experience in communicating with people. I developed many aspects of character, such as Patience. While discussing with seniors, I learnt from their memories, their past life, they gave me advices about my futures from their personal perspectives. With children, I felt that I gained their love (like the seniors), which has a great value to me. While I was representing my country, I read in their eyes: Oh! I want to visit Egypt. It was a sign of success for me. And when I gave them postcards as gifts, they were about to jump the whole time from their happiness. Maybe they didn't know that my heart was also jumping from happiness. by Kamil Mika The project gave me completely different experiences. I had the opportunity to challenge myself during the day spent with seniors, as I had never worked with elderly before. Luckily, the group I worked with was extremely friendly and glad they could talk to a young person. Children from grades 1-3 turned out to be really vivid, asking many questions and they needed my attention all the time, so the hours spent at school were full of work. I enjoyed my project, because it exposed me to a kind of work I've never done before, giving me choice of my activities each day.
