International Affairs

This regularly scheduled program, co-ordinated by Coops Wynne-Hughes (right), brings together the whole community to consider topics of global concern.

Many sessions feature speakers from universities or organizations. Others are led by students from the region under consideration at the time.
Canadian Identity: Mosaic, Melting Pot, or Mayhem?

The first session of the year was led by Alex Chan, Raisa Mirza, and Michael Beeler (left). They presented questions and reflections on the nature of Canadian identity and the relationship of so-called "ethnic" Canadians to a presumed mainstream identity.

International Affairs opens this year with a focus on North America, the region whose National Day is first in the year's sequence.
