| GOING KAYAKING by Kati Temonen (year 32) Last Saturday our kayaking group went on a day trip to practice our skills. We were lucky enough to have good weather for most of the day and also to enjoy the view. We paddled as a group and worked on our teambuilding skills. It was nice to kayak in new waters and to practice our endurance. To see a different part of Victoria was wonderful. The birds and seals were very amusing. When we started from the Pearson docks in the morning it was slightly overcast and cold. Luckily it warmed up over the day and ended up being sunny. The water was great and the colour was vivid blue. We paddled for 2 hours before we took a break to have some drinks and snacks. After we were re-energized, we returned along the beautiful coast back to the college. Overall, it was a great experience, and I enjoyed paddling with the group. I really look forward to our next expedition in April. NEXT AND LAST: IT'S A BEAUTIFUL WORLD |
